# Updating to 20171107141806 hangs

I’m in the process of getting our rack + apps ready to migrate from gen 1 to gen 2, but we’re quite a few releases behind on our rack. I’ve been applying updates, but updating to 20171107141806 is hanging, and eventually failing + rolling back. As far as I can tell, the update hangs because release 20171107141806 is trying to create a new RouterApiCertificate for domain \*…rack.convox.io that never gets past the ‘Pending Validation’ status.

It’s been a few years since the release first came out, but does anyone have any suggestions for getting the update to not hang/getting the certificate the be approved?
